Polish Recipes Ingredients

* 1/2 cup butter, softened
* 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
* 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
* 1/4 cup strawberry jam
* 1/4 cup sifted confectioners' sugar

Polish Recipes Instructions :

1. Beat butter or margarine and cream cheese in mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add flour gradually, beating well after each addition.
2. Roll dough to 1/8 inch thickness on lightly floured surface. Cut into 2-inch circles. Spoon 1/4 teaspoon jam into center of each circle. Fold opposite edges together, slightly overlapping edges.
3. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar...and the Polish recipe of Jam kolaches is ready to serve...nice !

Polish Recipe Ingredients

* 4 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes
* 1 onion, chopped
* 2 green bell peppers, cut into 1 inch pieces
* 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
* 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
* 1/4 cup vegetable oil
* 1 (16 ounce) package kielbasa sausage, cut into 1 inch pieces


1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook onions and potatoes for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Reduce flame to med and stir in bell pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cover, and cook 5 minutes. Stir in kielbasa, cover, and cook for 15 minutes, or until onions are caramelized. The Polish recipe of meat and potatoes is ready to serve..enjoy it !

Polish Recipe-BIGOS (Hunter's Stew)

  • 4 lbs sauerkraut
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 lb smoked pork
  • 1 lb spareribs
  • 1/4 lb bacon
  • 1 can tomatoes (large)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • black pepper
  • salt
  • 4 lbs cabbage
  • 1 lb pork loin chop or pork ribs
  • 1 lb smoked kielbasa (sausage)
  • 1/2 cup onions (chopped)
  • 10 ounces mushrooms (fresh)
  • 6 ounce mushrooms (dried)
  • 2 tablespoons flour
1. Brown pork and spareribs in a large heavy pot.
2. Add smoked pork with 1 cup of water and simmer until 1 hour.
3. Add the sauerkraut and one cup apple juice.
4. Chop the cabbage fine and add to sauerkraut.
5. Add lots of pepper and salt cover and simmer 1 hour.
6. Remove lid and keep pot on a very low simmer.
7. In a pan, fry bacon until crisp, then crumble into sauerkraut mixture.
8. Remove most of the bacon fat and fry onions and mushrooms and flour until they just brown.
9. Mix into sauerkraut mixture.
10. Cut kielbasa into slices add to sauerkraut mixture with the tomatoes.
11. Bring to a boil, simmer 30 minutes and the Polish recipe of bigos is ready to serve hot...nice !
